Alfa Romeo Montreal

Presenting a metal silhouet of the Alfa Romeo Montreal - an Italian sports car. It was produced from 1970 to 1977, with a total of 3,925 units made. The order from Canadians read: a car of the future for Expo 67. The bodywork was entrusted to Bertone. The chassis and suspension were taken from the Giulia GTV coupe, and the engine was an overbored version of the two-liter four-cam V8 from the road version of the racing car Tipo 33, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. In the production version, the engine was not placed in front of the rear axle but was moved to the front. However, the air outlet openings remained behind the doors.

The Lamborghini Miura, unveiled in 1966, is often hailed as the pioneer of the supercar category. It was a revolutionary creation that changed the landscape of high-performance sports cars forever. The mastermind behind this automotive marvel was none other than Ferruccio Lamborghini, who challenged his engineers to create a car that could rival the likes of Ferrari.

The Miura featured a mid-engine layout, a concept considered groundbreaking at the time. This design not only improved the car’s balance and handling but also set a precedent for future supercars. Its power came from a 3.9-liter V12 engine, producing an impressive 350 horsepower, making it one of the most potent cars of its era.

Marcello Gandini, a young designer at Bertone, was responsible for the Miura’s stunning and timeless bodywork. Its low, sleek profile and dramatic curves turned heads wherever it went. The clamshell-style engine cover added to its mystique, allowing onlookers to catch a glimpse of the potent V12 beneath.

The Miura quickly became an automotive icon, beloved by enthusiasts and collectors alike. It embodied the spirit of Italian craftsmanship and performance. With limited production and only 200 units per size, owning a Miura today is a testament to its rarity and prestige.

The Miura’s legacy extends beyond its era, as it played a pivotal role in shaping the modern supercar landscape. Its influence can still be seen in today’s exotic and high-performance automobiles.
